Career Field - Munitions

From mines to rockets to bullets, no matter how big or small the weapon, munitions specialists supply the ammunition. Trained to maintain inventory, schedule delivery and ship bulk ammunition, munitions specialists ensure Guard Soldiers get the right ammunition when and where they need it.

Munitions specialists can also become explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) specialists. Trained to destroy explosives that threaten the lives of Soldiers, EOD specialists learn about U.S. and foreign explosives, firing systems and the disposal of explosive threats. Munitions Soldiers use remote-control vehicles or X-ray equipment to identify possible threats and ensure safe disposal.
