Educational Counseling Services

The National Guard offers many education benefits and services. Dedicated education counselors are available in every state to help answer questions, provide direction for education services and walk Soldiers through each process.

Counselors understand the details of federal tuition assistance and can make sense of your GI Bill® questions. They can help you find a military-friendly school that offers your area of study and gets you on course to complete your degree.

Current Guard Soldiers can get information on education programs by contacting their state's Education Services Officer (ESO).

JST Transcripts
JST is a computerized transcript system that produces official transcripts for Soldiers upon request by combining a Soldier's military education and job experience with descriptions and college credit recommendations developed by the American Council on Education (ACE). In addition to name and Social Security number, the transcript contains the following information: current or highest enlisted rank, military status, additional skill identifiers and skill qualification identifiers, formal military courses, Military Occupational Specialties held, and standardized test score descriptions and credit recommendations developed by ACE.
