PRIOR SERVICE ENLISTMENT BONUS
Applicants with prior military service may be eligible for the Prior Service Enlistment Bonus (PSEB). To qualify, you'll need to enlist into a specified Military Occupational Specialty (MOS). Contact your local Army National Guard recruiter to find out which positions are currently available in your state.
ELIGIBILITY
Prior Service (PS) applicants must meet the following general eligibility criteria to qualify for a PSEB:
Soldiers enlisting for Special Forces must be MOSQ at time of enlistment to qualify for an incentive.
AMOUNT
The PSEB is a part of the Army National Guard Selected Reserve Incentive Program. A qualifying Prior Service Soldier can receive a bonus amount of up to $20,000 for enlisting into designated skill positions. To determine your eligibility, ask your recruiter for more details.
PSEB Options
The PSEB incentive is paid as defined below:
3-Year DMOSQ: Lump sum payment upon reporting to unit of assignment and recorded in GIMS (Guard Incentive Management System).
6-year DMOSQ/Non-DMOSQ: Paid in 2 installments.
Installment 1: 50% processed upon reporting DMOSQ to unit of assignment and recorded in GIMS.
Installment 2: 50% processed upon 4th year anniversary calculated by date of enlistment.
Available skill positions vary by state. State Incentive Managers can tell you which MOSs qualify in their state.
