MORE STUDENT. LESS DEBT.
Joining the Army National Guard gives you more than just the pride that comes from serving your country. You can earn benefits to help pay for your education and related expenses, and you can complete your education while you serve. The National Guard offers many programs for every type of student, whether you're still in high school, attending college or working toward a vocational certification.

Upon entering service, Army National Guard Soldiers are automatically enrolled in the modernized retirement plan, known as the Blended Retirement System (BRS). The BRS blends the traditional legacy retirement pension, also known as a defined benefit, with government payments made into your individual Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) account, also known as a defined contribution. The TPS account is similar to many private sector 401Ks.
