Marathon - Requirements

The Lincoln/National Guard Marathon serves as the NGB Time Trials for the National Guard's elite All Guard Marathon Team. The All Guard Marathon Team consists of both Army and Air National Guard members who will have the honor of representing the Army National Guard as a competitive traveling team throughout the year.

The All Guard Marathon Team normally consists of the top forty placing male runners, the top fifteen placing female runners, and the top three placing male runners over the age of fifty (Super Masters). The NGB Marathon Coordinator may adjust the All Guard Team counts within reason to maintain a competitive team that meets the needs of the program.

Following are the qualifying requirements for the 2025 All Guard Marathon Team:

• Qualify a competitive All-National Guard Team – 30 fastest males, 15 fastest females, 1 fastest male and female over the age of 50 (Total of 47 team members)
• Establish an OML based on times from the 2025 Lincoln Marathon for team members as well as a reserve roster to account for mobilizations, ETS, and retirements.
• NGB funds orders and DTS for up to 3 competitors per state with proof of a qualifying time as of 7 May 2023 or later (State Team Award changed to fastest combined time for 1 male and 1 female per state).
