How is continuation pay determined?

Question:
How is continuation pay determined?
Answer:

All service members who are enrolled in BRS are eligible for continuation pay. However, each service will determine when and at what rate service members will receive continuation pay. The continuation pay multiplier may be based on factors such as hard-to-fill positions, retention rates and specialty skill, among others. Per the ARNG CY24 Guidance, Rate Multipliers:

  • AC (T10 AGR and T32 AGR only): x 2.5 of monthly base pay
  • RC (MDAY, OTOT, ADOS, MOB, MILTECH): x 4 of monthly base pay
    • OTOT with more than 1825 days will be considered career AGR and only eligible for the 2.5 times rate.
