Authorized Rates and Fees for FTA

The total amount of federal tuition assistance (FTA) you are eligible to receive cannot exceed $4,000 per year. If you qualify, you may receive 100 percent of the tuition cost up to:

  • $250 per semester hour
  • $167 per quarter hour
  • $16.66 per clock hour


FTA and GI Bill® benefits are separate and distinct from one another, and may be combined in some cases.


Current Guard Soldiers can get information on education programs by contacting their State Education Office or the Education Support Center, 1-866-ARNG-EDU (276-4338).
