CA - How Do I Apply?

Soldiers with questions can contact their assigned State Education Service Specialist directly or submit a help desk ticket to the ArmyIgnitED ServiceNow.

Important: apply for CA through ArmyIgnitED

In addition to completing CA 101 training (provided by the CA Virtual Counseling Cell), Soldiers must now complete MilGears prior to creating their education goal. Soldiers must complete the Explore Careers, Quick Explorer Tool, download their report, and upload it to their ArmyIgnitED account.

  • Contact your State ESO/ESS to discuss the CA application process and verify eligibility
  • Ensure your credential is listed on Army COOL
  • If you don't have an ArmyIgnitED account, create one
  • Request Credentialing Assistance
  • Select a training provider
  • Enter course information to include start and end dates and cost types, and upload any relevant documentation
  • All requests must be submitted a minimum of 45 calendar days prior to course/exam start date
  • Verify all information, including funding, vendor and credential, is correct, and submit
