The Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) is designed to match the physical demands put on the modern Soldier. Replacing the Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) across all units in April 2022, the ACFT is already the military fitness test of record for trainees at Basic Combat Training.
With the implementation of the ACFT, Guard Soldiers have a fitness test that incorporates modern fitness equipment, improves Soldier readiness, reduces injuries and enhances mental toughness—the exact standards you would expect for mission-ready warriors.
The ACFT assesses a Soldier's ability to perform physically demanding tasks across six events: 3 Repetition Maximum Deadlift, Standing Power Throw, Hand-Release Push-Up, Sprint-Drag-Carry, Plank and Two-Mile Run. Select each event to watch the video and see the standards.
