Transportation Specialists are the muscle behind the Guard's operational agility, stateside and beyond. The Guard owns a vast fleet of 50,000 wheeled vehicles. During state emergencies, Guard drivers enter high-water vehicles and watercraft to lead rescue efforts, often arriving as the first sight of hope to those in need.
