OVERVIEW
The Field Artillery Surveyor/Meteorological Crewmember is responsible for monitoring weather conditions so the Field Artillery team can fire and launch missiles accurately. Their role is crucial in the support of Infantry and tank units during combat.
JOB DUTIES
TRAINING
Job training for a Field Artillery Surveyor/Meteorological Crewmember requires completing 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 10 weeks of Advanced Individual Training with on-the-job instruction. Part of this time is spent in the classroom, and part of it takes place in the field under simulated combat conditions.
Advanced Individual Training: 10 weeks and 1 day at Fort Sill, OK
