Job training - What it is:
Your job-specific training is called Advanced Individual Training, or AIT. In the medical field, AIT will teach you lab skills, medical techniques you'll use on actual patients, and all of the administrative and computer skills needed to perform your job. Most important, you'll learn how to help people.
Job training - What you'll do:
- Receive training specific to your Military Occupational Specialty, or MOS
- Receive any civilian certifications appropriate for your job
- Continue to perform regular physical exercise
- Learn specific tools and techniques you'll use in your job, including patient care techniques and lab skills
- Get hands-on experience with real patients
