Job training - What it is: 
For some jobs like infantry or military police, new Soldiers go through Basic Training and job training (Advanced Individual Training, or AIT) all at once. The same drill sergeants who mentor you in Basic Training will continue to teach you through your job-specific training. Others, like ammunition specialists, will attend AIT in a different location after finishing Basic Training.
Job training - What you'll do: 
  • Learn how to use an M4 rifle
  • Learn general Army knowledge, like ranks and proper wear of the uniform
  • Perform physical training, including running, push-ups and sit-ups
  • Learn how to perform in stressful environments
  • Receive training on how to perform your chosen job as part of your unit team
