OVERVIEW
Railway Section Repairers are primarily responsible for performing maintenance on railway tracks, roadbeds, switches, fences and other railway facilities. Members of the Army National Guard railway team, including the Railway Section Repairer, play an integral role in the operation and maintenance of the Army's railway operating battalions.
JOB DUTIES
TRAINING
Job training for a Railway Section Repairer requires 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and five weeks of Advanced Individual Training with on-the-job instruction. Part of this time is spent in the classroom, and part takes place in the field.
