OVERVIEW
Railway Equipment Repairers are primarily responsible for supervising or performing maintenance on diesel-electric locomotives and rolling stock. They play an integral role in the operation and maintenance of the Army National Guard's railway operating battalions.
JOB DUTIES
TRAINING
Job training for a Railway Equipment Repairer requires 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and five weeks of Advanced Individual Training with on-the-job instruction. Part of this time is spent in the classroom, and part takes place in the field.
