The Field Artillery Senior Sergeant helps coordinate advanced battle command systems and serves as a Field Artillery Enlisted advisor on operational, fire support and target acquisition issues.
JOB DUTIES
TRAINING
The path to becoming a 13Z frequently begins with enlistment as a 13B Cannon Crewmember, 13F Fire Support Specialist, 13J Fire Control Specialist, 13M MLRS/HiMARS Crewmember or 13R Field Artillery Firefinder Radar Operator, which require 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and up to 10 weeks of Advanced Individual Training at Fort Sill, OK.
One Station Unit Training: Up to 10 weeks at Fort Sill, OK
